As part of Blackboard's continuing efforts to maintain the quality and performance of the SafeAssign service, a maintenance upgrade will be performed on Thursday July 28 starting at 4am EDT.
The service will remain available and responsive for paper submissions but customers should expect a delay in document processing and Originality Report generation. The delay in processing is expected be several hours but should not exceed 10 hours from upgrade start. During this time, submitted papers will be queued for processing once the upgrade is completed – no submissions or data will be lost, only results will delayed in returning Originality Reports and SafeAssign results to end users. Blackboard Learn instances will continue to operate normally, and users may view submitted documents within the Learn interface as normal while SafeAssign results are delayed.
The Office of Information Technology is piloting a new service that allows you to text “UTKwifi” followed by your building and room number information to 55000 to report academic classrooms on campus where there may be issues with the wireless network.
